Description

The RDWC 2 Starter Pack is the most complete way to get started with a recirculating hydroponic system: two grow buckets connected to a central reservoir, plus nutrients, a pH test kit, a pH down regulator, and a digital conductivity tester. The kit also includes expanded clay and rockwool germination cubes.

What's in the kit

1. RDWC 2 hydroponic system

  • Number of buckets: 2 grow buckets + 1 reservoir
  • Hailea ACO 9602 aerator, 432 L/h
  • Hailea HX2500 water pump, 650 L/h
  • Single bucket dimensions: 33 cm high, 30 cm diameter, 19 liters
  • Distance between buckets: 45 cm
  • Overall dimensions: 70 × 85 cm
  • Recommended growing area: 60 × 60 cm to 80 × 80 cm
  • System capacity: 45 liters

Components: 1 reservoir, 2 grow buckets, 6 watertight 32 mm seals, 1 16 mm seal, 2 mesh screens, pump outlet hose with valve, 32 mm PVC tee with valve, 2 32 mm PVC elbows, 2 porous stones, 3 m of air tubing.

2. Terra Aquatica Tripack nutrients (formerly General Hydroponics Flora Series)

Three 0.5 L bottles (Grow, Micro, and Bloom), a pH test kit, and a packet of pH down powder: the kit makes approximately 500 liters of nutrient solution.

3. EC66 digital tester

  • Conductivity and temperature with automatic compensation (5 to 50 °C, β = 2%/°C)
  • Scale from 0.00 to 10.00 mS/cm
  • Factory calibrated, recalibratable at 1 point using the trimmer
  • Replaceable electrode, IP67 waterproof
  • Approximately 250 hours of continuous use with 3 1.5 V batteries included
  • Calibration solution included

4. pH down regulator, less than 1 liter

10% phosphoric acid-based solution for lowering the pH of the nutrient solution. Its low concentration makes it safe and easy to dose.

How RDWC works

The nutrient solution circulates continuously between the reservoir and the two grow buckets. In the reservoir, you measure and adjust the EC and pH once for the entire system, while the aerator oxygenates the solution through the porous stones. This way, all plants receive the same solution, and management is simpler than with separate individual buckets.

Estimate based on the crop's agronomic data: this is not a guaranteed yield for this system. Yield per plant is derived from the yield per m² and density given in the Plant manual.

Yields are indicative estimates and may vary with variety, environment, lighting, nutrition, planting density and system management.

Reviews

What our customers say

This product has no reviews yet. Yours can help other growers choose.

Customer reviews collected with Judge.me. Bought this product? Tell us how your system is doing.

Before you choose

Do I need soil?

No. Roots grow in water with dissolved nutrients, held by a clean medium such as rockwool, expanded clay or coco fibre, or suspended in the pot, depending on the system. No soil to carry or replace.

Is the pump noisy?

The pump works submerged in the reservoir: what you hear is mostly flowing water. The level depends on the model and where you place the system. If the kit goes in a bedroom, an office or a public venue, message us and we'll tell you how that model behaves.

Can I go away for a few days?

It depends on the reservoir size, how many plants you have and the season: mature plants in midsummer drink far more than freshly transplanted lettuce. Before leaving, top up the water and check pH and EC. For long absences, ask us and we'll assess your system together.

If it's not right for me, can I return it?

Yes. If you buy as a consumer, you have 14 days from delivery to withdraw without giving a reason, except for the exclusions provided by law. Return shipping costs are paid by you.

If I have a technical question, who answers?

Our technical support team: the first technical reply arrives within 24 working hours. Write to us at info@acquaponica.shop or on WhatsApp at +39 388 774 2990.
